Fake Rock Anthems is the debut full-length album by St. Petersburg producer kolya.

The artist works with a rock aesthetic in his music — music he has lived through as a performer and loves. The producer uses hit motifs and takes them to the maximum: it's concentrated music, which, however, has no vocals or drums — the listener feels this absence and fills it themselves.

A certain formula for writing a rock hit has already been developed, and the producer only recycles it. The choice of the LP format is due to the fact that it is a practice common to popular bands.

kolya: "The main character here is the archetype of a tough guy from American movies, behind whose back the world explodes or collapses cinematically, and he lights up a cigarette, sits in a convertible and drives off to the soundtrack. Every track on the album is an exaggeration of that image."

Fake Rock Anthems — дебютный альбом петербургского продюсера kolya.

В своей музыке артист работает с эстетикой рока, — музыкой, которую он прожил в качестве исполнителя и сильно любит. Продюсер использует хит-мотивы и доводит их до максимума: концентрированная музыка, лишённая вокала или ударных — слушатель ощущает это отсутствие и заполняет самостоятельно.

Определённая формула написания рок-хита уже разработана, и продюсер лишь играет с ней. Выбор формата LP связан с тем, что это практика, свойственная популярным рок-группам.

kolya: «Главный персонаж здесь — это архетип крутого парня из американских фильмов, за спиной которого происходит взрыв или рушится мир, а он поджигает сигарету, садится в кабриолет и уезжает под саундтрек. Каждая композиция из альбома — утрирование этого образа».
